Allowed Food on the Paleo Diet

Our health is going downhill. It also doesn't take much to see, we are in trouble. The Paleo diet, or caveman diet, is the way our ancestors ate we should still be eating like this. With everything that is put into processed food, we need to see that a substantial part of health being like it is now is because of just that. I guess us being lazy is not helping, but we will save that for another time.

The Paleo diet has been around for a very long time, in fact, I am pretty sure it was the first diet. The things that you can or can not eat should be taken into consideration before starting this diet. We will be eating like cavemen did. Through hunting and gathering are ancestors way of eating was created. No processed foods here my friends, so say good bye to doughnuts, and pretty much anything with creme filling. You will be missed my friend.

Here is a list of foods that are allowed on the Paleo diet.

Meat
Lean meats, fish, seafood, chicken, turkey, duck, lamb. I would suggest only grass fed beef and chicken, as
Fruit:
Any fruit is considered fine, but not juice.
Veggies:
Raw vegetables, onions, carrots, celery, except for corn and green beans.
Nuts/Seeds:
Nuts are fine and nut butters, except for peanuts.
Healthy Fats:
olive oil, flaxseed oil, almond oil, and coconut oil. From what I can tell avocados as well.

Here is a list of foods that are not allowed on the Paleo diet.

No Sugar or Artificial Sugar
Sugars can come in many forms, splenda, equal, molasses, fructose, anything with corn syrup in it, maltodextrin, and aspartame.
No Junk Food
Stay away from anything made by little debbie or hostess and you just covered all that.
No Grains
bread, wheat or corn items, pastas and rice, not even oatmeal people.
No Beans
Lima beans, black beans, kidney beans, and no peanuts.
No Dairy
This is a sore one for me... No milk, cheese, yogurt.
It is also important to not drink any alcohol.
The Paleolithic diet should be a primary start for all of us to take on our way to a healthier life style. The choices that we make in our lives, reflect directly on us. From the way we look to the way we feel. With all these modern diets, you stay on it till you lose the weight and that's it. The foods considered, allowed foods on the Paleo diet, while not as full of sugar as most can be delicious. Unlike most other diet plans. This is not just a diet plan though people. This is a way of life.
